Time to Slow Down


A huge part of my work is helping women to look after themselves, to stop giving all their energy away to everyone else and slow everything down. This is something that I’ve struggled with in the past - I used to say yes to EVERYTHING, I was constantly on the go, travelling, learning, achieving, making myself as busy as I could possibly be - I was all yang, zero yin!

Now I know that without giving myself some serious downtime I can’t function optimally. I’ve learned the importance of resting and recharging my batteries so that I have the energy to be my best self for everyone I love and work with. Overwhelming myself with work, social plans and high expectations is the surest way to set off a downward spiral of stress, anxiety and low mood, and I know I am not alone in that.

Make a cup of tea, get outside, book yourself a massage, call a friend, light a candle, listen to your favourite song, book in a quiet night at home. Do something kind for yourself, no matter how big or small.
